Yihan (Haze) Zhou, an experienced educator, holds degrees in education from Hua Zhong Normal University in Wuhan, China, and Fort Hays State University in Kansas. Since 2015, she has been actively involved in independent school and
college admissions and enrollment, focusing on improving communication between families and schools. This focus is central to her work, helping her guide her team in assisting students and their families.
Haze began her teaching career in Wuhan and moved to the US in 2009, where she taught independent Chinese lessons in Jacksonville, Florida. Later, she worked in academic administration at Washington Yu Ying Chinese Immersion Charter
School in Washington, D.C. In 2015, she started working at a boarding school, which sparked her interest in recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes.
In March 2019, Haze co-founded Montgomery & Zhou Educational Consultants LLC with John Montgomery, a recognized international educator. After John's retirement in 2022, Haze and her husband, Ben Liff, established Haze Zhou Educational
Consulting, LLC, in 2023.
Haze has held several roles, including Director of International Relationships at North Country School and Camp Treetops, and has held roles such as Director of International Admissions and International Marketing Consultant while
working at or with institutions such as Gould Academy, Kimball Union Academy, and Fountain Valley Academy.
Throughout her career, Haze has developed skills in fundraising, recruitment, enrollment, marketing strategy, social emotional learning, and intercultural communication. Her adaptability and strategic approach have been key in her
collaborations with diverse students, families, and educational institutions.
Outside of work, Haze resides in Maine with her family, where they enjoy various activities together. Haze's personal and professional lives are closely aligned, both centered around education, personal growth, and fostering global
connections.
